BR - Tech s.r.o. ("Company", "we", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data when you use the Family Fair Play application and website. We are committed to complying with global privacy standards, including the GDPR.
1. Data Controller
BR - Tech s.r.o.
Československej armády 2044/87, 017 01 Považská Bystrica, Slovakia

2. What Information We Collect and Why
We strictly collect data necessary for the functionality of the Service:
- Account Data: Name (or nickname) and email address to create and manage your Household account.
- Household Activity Data: Tasks created, schedules, and virtual rewards assigned within your Household. This data is kept private and used solely to provide the Service to you.
- Billing Information: If you purchase a Premium subscription via our web app, our payment processor (Stripe) collects necessary billing details (e.g., billing address). We do not collect billing data for Google Play purchases.
- Analytics: We use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymized usage data to improve app performance and user experience — but only after you give consent via the cookie banner. Without your consent, no analytics are loaded at all.
- Technical error logs: If the application encounters an error, we record a technical description of the error (without your household content) so we can fix it. These logs are deleted after 30 days.
- Marketing data from the website test: If you complete the interactive fairness test on our website and voluntarily enter your e-mail address, we store your e-mail together with your test result (your household load profile). We do this solely on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), so we can send you your result and tips on how to balance the load at home. You can withdraw your consent and request deletion at any time by e-mailing support@familyfairplay.com.
3. Legal Bases for Processing (Art. 6 GDPR)
- Performance of a contract (Art. 6(1)(b)) — creating and managing your account and Household, providing the Service, processing payments.
- Legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)) — security of the Service (e.g., login rate-limiting), fraud prevention, and technical error logs.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — analytics cookies and sending your fairness-test result by e-mail.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c)) — retention of accounting and billing records.
4. Device Permissions (Data Minimization)
We respect the integrity of your device. The Family Fair Play app does not require and does not request access to sensitive device features, including:
- GPS / Precise Location
- Camera
- Microphone
- Contact List / Phonebook
5. Children's Privacy
We take the protection of children very seriously.
- The Service provides tools for adults to manage household chores for children. The app is not designed for children to create independent accounts.
- All child profiles within a Household are created, managed, and controlled exclusively by an adult user (the parent/legal guardian).
- We do not knowingly collect personal data directly from children. We strongly recommend using only first names or nicknames for child profiles.
- By creating a child profile within your Household, you, as the legal guardian, consent to the processing of this internal data for the sole purpose of operating the app.
6. Third-Party Service Providers and International Transfers
We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We share data only with trusted partners (processors) essential to operating the Service:
- Supabase, Inc. (database and backend infrastructure; your data is stored in the European Union — AWS region Ireland).
- Stripe, Inc. / Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (for processing web payments).
- Google LLC / Google Ireland Limited (for Google Play Billing and Google Analytics).
- Resend, Inc. (sending transactional e-mails, e.g., confirmations and notifications).
- Vercel, Inc. (hosting of the web application and website).
Some of these providers are based in the USA. Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, the transfer is safeguarded by the European Commission's adequacy decision (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework) or by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
7. Cookies and Analytics
The website and the web application use:
- Strictly necessary cookies — your login session, language preference (
ffp-locale) and your stored cookie choice (ffp-consent, kept for 6 months). These are required for the Service to work and do not need consent. - Analytics cookies (Google Analytics 4) — loaded only after you consent via the cookie banner.
You can change your choice at any time: in the app under Settings → Cookies; on the website by clearing cookies for this site in your browser, which makes the cookie banner appear again.
8. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active. If you choose to delete your account, all Household data, including user profiles and tasks, will be permanently deleted from our active databases. In addition:
- By law, we may retain certain financial records (e.g., invoices from web purchases) for up to 10 years.
- Technical error logs are deleted after 30 days.
- Encrypted database backups are kept for 30 days and then deleted automatically.
- The e-mail address from the website fairness test is kept until you withdraw your consent.
9. Your Privacy Rights
Under the GDPR (and depending on your jurisdiction), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request the deletion of your personal data ("Right to be Forgotten") by deleting your account.
- Receive your data in a portable, machine-readable format (data portability).
