TERMS OF SERVICE
Effective Date: July 6, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Family Fair Play. These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and BR - Tech s.r.o., registered at Československej armády 2044/87, 017 01 Považská Bystrica, Slovakia, Company ID (IČO): 47685425, Tax ID (DIČ): 2024069586 ("Company", "we", "us", or "our").
By accessing or using the web application (app.familyfairplay.com), the informational website (www.familyfairplay.com), and the mobile application Family Fair Play (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Account Registration and Households
- To use the Service, you must register and create a "Household" account. You agree to provide accurate and complete information during registration.
- You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Child profiles within a Household are created and managed exclusively by an adult (parent/legal guardian) — children do not create their own accounts.
- The user who creates the Household acts as the administrator and may invite other members (e.g., partners, children) to join.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
3. Use of the Service and Content
- The Service is designed to calculate the mental and physical demands of household chores and facilitate their fair distribution.
- User-Generated Content: The Service is strictly for private, internal family use. The app does not allow users to upload personal photographs, post public reviews, or write public comments. All task data is isolated and visible only to members of your specific Household.
- Child Profiles and Virtual Rewards: The Service includes features for children, such as workload coefficients and virtual rewards (stars). These features are strictly for motivational purposes within your family. The Company bears no legal responsibility for the fulfillment or non-fulfillment of any real-world promises or rewards made between Household members.
4. Payments, Subscriptions and Prices
- The basic version of the Service ("Basic") is provided free of charge.
- Premium features are available through a paid subscription ("Premium").
- All prices shown are final consumer prices. The Company is not registered for VAT (no VAT is charged).
- Introductory pricing: the prices in effect until 31 August 2026 are introductory launch prices. After this date, the standard price list for new purchases will be higher. Subscriptions activated during the introductory period keep their introductory price even after the increase, for as long as the subscription continues without interruption. A one-time Lifetime licence purchased during the introductory period is unaffected by later price changes.
- Payments are processed securely by third-party providers: Stripe for web transactions and Google Play Billing for Android mobile transactions. The Company does not store your full credit card information. After each payment you will receive a receipt and invoice by e-mail.
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the end of the current billing cycle. You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Google Play account settings or the web app billing portal; cancellation takes effect at the end of the paid period.
- Promotional codes and 100% discount: The Company may offer promotional discount codes (for example, code 6SGFBOAU as part of a summer offer for the first 10 households) that grant a one-hundred-percent (100%) discount on the Premium Yearly plan. The code is entered directly at checkout on the Stripe platform (the payment gateway of the web application at app.familyfairplay.com). Such a 100% discount is granted in exchange for the User's participation in testing the Service and providing feedback; the Company may request and use this feedback to improve the Service. The offer is limited in the number of places (max. 10 households) and in time, and the Company may modify or end it at any time.
5. Right of Withdrawal
If you are a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days of purchasing a Premium subscription or the Lifetime licence, without giving any reason.
- By completing the purchase you expressly request and consent to the digital service being provided immediately — that is, before the expiry of the 14-day withdrawal period.
- Despite this, if you notify us of your withdrawal within 14 days of the purchase, we will refund the full amount paid. Simply send an e-mail to support@familyfairplay.com from the e-mail address associated with your Household and state the purchase date.
- Refunds are issued within 14 days using the same means of payment (Stripe).
- The right of withdrawal does not apply to automatic renewals of an ongoing subscription; you may cancel a renewal at any time before the end of the current billing period in the billing portal.
6. Complaints and Alternative Dispute Resolution
If the Service does not work as it should, contact us at support@familyfairplay.com. We will handle your complaint without undue delay, no later than 30 days after receiving it, and inform you of the outcome by e-mail.
If you are a consumer and are not satisfied with how your complaint was handled, or you believe your rights have been violated, you may submit a request for redress to us. If we reject such a request or do not respond within 30 days, you are entitled to initiate alternative dispute resolution (ADR) with the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia, www.soi.sk) or another authorised ADR body listed by the Slovak Ministry of Economy. Consumers in other EU countries may also contact the European Consumer Centre in their country of residence.
7. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time (for example, when adding new features or when the law changes). We will notify you of material changes by e-mail or in the app at least 15 days before they take effect. If you do not agree with a change, you may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time; continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. Price changes never affect a billing period you have already paid for.
8. Suspension and Termination
You may delete your Household at any time directly in the app (Settings → Privacy & Data → Delete household); deletion is irreversible, removes all data and member accounts, and automatically cancels any active subscription. The Company may suspend or terminate an account in the event of a serious breach of these Terms, abuse of the Service (e.g., attempts to compromise security or fraudulent payments), or where required by law. If we terminate your account without fault on your part, we will refund the pro-rata share of any prepaid subscription for the unused period.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
- The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Company makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the continuous availability, accuracy, or reliability of the Service.
- To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Company shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or any family disputes arising from the use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits the mandatory statutory rights of consumers.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Slovak Republic, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. If you are a consumer residing in the European Union or other jurisdictions, this does not deprive you of the mandatory consumer protections of your home country.
Data deletion: You may request deletion of your account and all associated personal data at any time. For instructions on how to do this, see our User Data Deletion page.
